1 Introduction

To set up your home, simply connect the Eva Hub to your internet router and install the Eva Smart Home App on your mobile (this may require a subscription).

Follow the instructions in the Eva Smart Home App, create a user and setup your home. Add Zigbee Certified smart devices like smart light bulbs to your home and setup rules or moods. Add additional sensors to optimize comfort and increase safety.

1.1 Important safety information

  • Use only together with the original power supply.
  • Do not use the Hub or any of its accessories in case of any visible damage.
  • The Hub can be used in temperatures ranging from 0 ºC to 40 ºC and is for indoor use in dry environments only.
  • Do not place the Hub near any heat source or in direct sunlight, as this may cause overheating.
  • Do not use the Hub in wet, moist or excessively dusty environments, as this may cause damage.
Failure to observe recommendations included in this manual may be dangerous or in conflict with the law. The manufacturer will not be held responsible for any loss or damage.

3 Installation

Carefully read the user manual and safety information before setting up your Hub.

3.1 Getting started
  • Remove the bottom cover of the Hub by pulling top and bottom apart. Note: Do not twist top or bottom cover as this may damage the Hub!
  • Connect one end of the ethernet cable to the Hub and the other end directly to a router or to an internet access outlet (RJ45).
  • Connect the power cable to the Hub.
  • Connect the power supply to a power outlet. The Power LED will turn on.
  • Place the bottom cover back on the Hub. Make sure power and network cable are placed in their cable channels and push top and bottom slightly against each other. 
  • While booting, the Circular Status LEDs will show a pattern of one blue LED moving clockwise. Note: A pattern of blue LED(s) moving counterclockwise indicates a firmware update of your Hub. Do not power OFF the Hub or remove the network cable in this situation, as it may damage your Hub.
  • It normally takes less than two minutes before the Hub is fully started up. The three status LEDs: “Power”, “Network” and “Server” will be on, indicating that your Hub is ready to use.

Note: Do not unplug the power connection of the Hub, unless the Hub has been shut down, for details see chapter 4.2.

3.2 Placing or mounting

Your Hub can be placed on top of any even surface or be mounted on a wall.

For wall mounting, remove the bottom cover of the Hub by pulling top and bottom apart. Note: Do not twist top or bottom cover as this may damage the Hub!

Use the bottom cover of your Hub with its two mounting holes as a bracket for wall mounting. Fix the bottom cover in the desired place by using appropriate fixing material. Afterwards make sure power and network cable are placed in their cable channels and push the Hub into the fixed bottom cover.

3.3 Setting up the Hub

You need the Eva Smart Home App (Android or iOS) to setup and control your Hub and your connected smart home devices.
Note: You may need to create a user and to sign up for a subscription.

3.4 Pairing devices to the Hub

3.4.1 Pairing by using the Eva Smart Home App

Follow the instructions in the app to add/pair devices with the Hub.
The Power LED will blink to indicate that the Hub is in pairing mode. 3 blue LEDs rotating clockwise will indicate the ongoing pairing and will turn OFF after successful pairing.

3.4.2 Pairing without using an app

  1. Set the Hub in pairing mode by holding the front button for more than 5 seconds. The Power LED is blinking while pairing mode is active. Pairing mode will be active for 4 minutes
  2. Set the device you would like to pair into pairing mode (follow instructions in the user manual of the device you wish to connect)
  3. Once the device under pairing connects with the Hub, the Power LED on the Hub will stop blinking. 3 blue LEDs will indicate the ongoing pairing by rotating clockwise
  4. After successful pairing the 3 blue LEDs will turn OFF and your new device is ready to use
  5. Your app should now show the new device
3.5 Un-Pairing devices from the Hub

Follow the instructions in the app to remove/unpair devices from the Hub.

3.6 Controlling devices

Follow the instructions in the app to control your devices connected to your Hub.

3.7 USB A port

The Hub is equipped with an USB A port for possible future use. Do not connect any device to this USB port.

4.1 Button on the front

Note: Restart your Hub by unplugging the power cable and reconnecting the power again.
5 Appendix
5.1 Information on disposal of
electrical & electronic equipment


This symbol on the product and accompanying documents means that used electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) should not be mixed with general household waste. For proper treatment, recovery and recycling, please take this product to designated collection points where it will be accepted free of charge. Alternatively, in some countries, you may be able to return your products to your local retailer upon purchase of an equivalent new product.

Disposing of this product correctly will help save valuable resources and prevent any potential negative effects on human health and the environment, which could otherwise arise from inappropriate waste handling. Please contact your local authority for further details of your nearest designated collection point. Penalties may be applicable for incorrect disposal of this waste, in accordance with your national legislation.

5.2 Software updates

Software updates may be released by the manufacturer to fix bugs or enhance functionality after the product has been released. Updated software versions released will not impact continued compliance with applicable rules.
